At about 8.10pm on March 22, emergency crews were called to the intersection of Moss Vale Road and Eridge Park Roads after reports that a car had veered off the road and crashed into a fence.
According to Southern Highlands police, a 28-year-old man and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped by confinement and compression.
It is believed the driver was travelling from Moss Vale towards Burradoo when the crash occurred.
Emergency crews worked to remove the driver from the vehicle, which took about 90 minutes.
The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with lower leg injuries.
He also underwent mandatory blood testing when he arrived at the hospital.
In addition to the SES, police and paramedics, Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue crews were in attendance to assist with fire suppression.
