The voting is over, the count is well underway and it would appear that Wingecarribee residents are still living in 'safe Liberal seats'.

Regardless whether you live in the part of the shire covered by the Wollondilly or Goulburn electorate it is clear that the majority of voters want to be represented by a Liberal MP.
Although votes were still being counted at the time of publication deadline for the Southern Highland News, Liberal candidate Nathaniel Smith had 38.53 per cent the vote for Wollondilly, ahead of Judy Hannan with 21.36 per cent.
Smith remained reserved about claiming victory although he said it looked positive.
However, Hannan was still holding out hope with the count continuing and preferences to be distributed.
Meanwhile, Pru Goward called early victory for her Liberal replacement Wendy Tuckerman midway through vote counting on election day (March 23).
Tuckerman, who had 39.30 of the vote at the time of publication, ahead of Ursula Stephens with 30.76 per cent of the vote was more reserved, choosing not to make an early prediction.
The early positive outcome for the Liberal and Nationals falls in line with results across the state as Gladys Berijiklian is poised to return to the top position of NSW State premier.
The goods news for local voters is that a lot of funding promises have been made for this region by the Liberal and National government.
With this in mind the residents of this region will be waiting, watching and expecting all promises to be delivered.
This includes an additional $55million for Bowral and District Hospital, improved staffing at the hospital, $20m for stage one of a Moss Vale bypass and an $80 million investment on the Canberra to Sydney rail route as part of a $295 million investment in a fast rail network.
And don't forget the billions of dollars promised for government and non-government schools (including new schools) across the state.
Smith said his priorities were "the hospital, roads, transport, tourism, small business and employment in the local area" and Hannan said she'd hold him to his promises.
Now it's time for Wingecarribee voters to sit back and hopefully watch the goods being delivered.
