The ABC is predicting the seat will be retained by the Liberals, but independent candidate Judith Hannan is refusing to concede defeat.
Ms Hannan told Australian Community Media at 9.15pm tonight, the Wollondilly election race was likely to be decided by preference votes.
"It's been interesting, different candidates have done well in different booths," she said.
"But I'm still a chance [to win], I'm looking forward to the actual outcome."
Wollondilly Liberal candidate Nathaniel Smith could not be reached for comment.
