With Braithwaite moving into the final with a solid win 31-13 with the match ending on the 26th end.
This was a aspiring display of bowls by Braithwaite who always seemed to be in control and played the better wet weather game.
The other semi- final between title holder Jim Neely and Oscar whalan was a cracker of a game under the conditions.
Play was abandoned for the day after 25 ends with Neely leading 26-20.
Whalan who has showed his aggression with his on shots and in good touch with his draw shots has got in under the radar in this championship and still hopes to sentence Neely to runner up in this match when ever it continues.
This match the scores fluctuated all the way on the 22nd end Whalan had the lead 20-19.
The last three ends played told of the skills of Neely who played some great draw shots to have a six shot lead when play abandoned for the day.
This has been a exceptional match played in heavy rain.
Can Neely protect his lead to go into another final? We will have to wait to see when the match is resumed.
