The Southern Highlands Toastmasters is held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at Mittagong RSL Club from 7.30pm. The next meeting is on March 25. Singalong
Singalong Mittagong Uniting Church has been going for 20 years this year. It is on again on March 25 and all are welcome to attend and be entertained by a group from Sing Australia. There will be afternoon tea and a gold coin donation is always appreciated. The entertainment will begin at about 1.30pm. Continuing with the celebratory theme the church "cooks" also secured success with some winning marmalades, jams and pickles at the Robbo Show. Details about the singalong: Shonagh on 48711369.
Mittagong CWA
The next monthly meeting of the Mittagong Branch of the CWA will be held in the meeting rooms in Winifred West Park, Old Hume Highway Mittagong on March 27. Come along for craft at 10.30am (bring your own project or join the ladies knitting squares), followed by lunch at 12:00pm. The meeting will commence at 1:00pm. FOWL meeting
Friends of Wingecarribee Libraries will hold a library book sale on March 29 at the Bowral Memorial Hall in Bendooley Street, Bowral. This will run from 8.30am to 4pm. All interested people are welcome and are encouraged to bring their own bags to collect books.
Can Assist fundraiser
Tickets are now on sale for the next major fundraising event for Can Assist. This will take the form of a Sunday lunch at Bowral Golf Club on May 5 from midday. Guest speaker will be 'the laughter master' Anthony Ackroyd. Tickets are $75 per person which includes a two course lunch, pre-lunch drinks and nibbles, tea and coffee. All funds raised will go to Can Assist which supports people with diagnosed with cancer in the Southern Highlands and their families. Rainbow fundraiser
A car boot sale will be held on March 30 at the Old Moss Vale Bowling Club site in Railway Parade, Moss Vale, to raise funds for Rainbow of the Southern Highlands Inc. Rainbow supports families of sick children and children with special needs who live in the Wingecarribee Shire. Sites for the sale are available for $25 and can be booked by calling Yetta on 0435 340 620. Food and cold drinks will also be available at the event.
Morning tea and support
Every Friday morning between 10am and midday the foyer of the Mittagong Anglican Church is open to the public for free morning tea. The church's professional barista knows how to make one of the best coffees in town. A professional counsellor offering free support to those who might want to talk privately is also available. Come and join the group and make new friends in a relaxed and warm environment. St. Stephens Church is on the corner of Station and Main Streets and has been reaching out to the community for more than 140 years.
Bereavement support
The Southern Highlands Bereavement Care Service Suicide Bereavement Support Group will begin on March 5. This is facilitated by bereavement Counsellors Donna and Jo-Anne. This group will be ongoing and held from 6.30pm to 8.00pm on the first Tuesday of each month in Bowral. If you are living with grief after the suicide death of a family member or friend, you are encouraged to come along to the group. Meetings are held at in Bowral at a location yet to be advised. Folk dance
Do you enjoy dancing or would you like to learn to dance? Here's a great opportunity not to be missed. Dance your way around the world with folk dances taught in easy steps. Test you strength and agility with Tai Chi classes held at the Mittagong Senior's Club located next to the Mittagong Library. Classes are held each Tuesday from 1pm.
Seniors' Club
Mittagong Seniors' Club meets each Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 2.30pm at the Community Centre in Queen Street, Mittagong. Come for morning tea at 10am to learn more. Activities include craft, games, ukulele and various outings.
Gentle exercise

Bushwalk
Southern Highlands Bushwalkers will stride out at Bellawongarah Mountain on Match 31. They will tackle the Cambewarra Range Nature Reserve and Tapitallee Trig. This will cover about 10km and will be an exploratory walk of mesa top mountain and trigonometrical points. The grade is medium/hard. Details: Margaret on 0490 803 576.
