Hillbilly Synthesiser is more pop-rock than any of their previous four albums, with The Pigs' greatest wish being for listeners to squeal over the new offerings and listen multiple times to truly appreciate the lyrics of these songs.
The Pigs title track, Hillbilly Synthesiser, hit the radio charts and came in at number seven on the AMRAP AirIt Regional Chart in release week.
Pigs band member Stretch said The fact that it is all original songs means we've got some stories to tell with this album.
"There's laughs, jealousy, sleepless nights, blue balls, arpeggiators, buffalo, priceless doggy do-dos, robot goats, barry whites and more," he said.
Stretch also said this was the most personal album they had "dared to write".
"It's got our first love song on it," he said.
"Can you believe it? After all these years, That Itch Is You is the first one."
The Pigs will hit the road for the first six months of this year, and play at Penrose Hall, Saturday March 22.
