Williams and staples win on last end by one shot. Coleman and Beatty played with confidence for the first four ends when they had a 7-0 lead.
Inspired bowls played by both teams had the game very tight over the next few ends and at the half way Mark Coleman and Beatty had a 10-9 lead.
The second half of the match was a tight tussle with scores equal after 17 ends 15-15.
There was tactically good play by Coleman and Beatty who scored four shots on the 20th end to lead 19-18 with one end to play.
Williams and staples found the right touch on the last end to pick up two shots and win by one shot. The match scores changed several times in this absorbing game with either team could have been the winner.
