The NSW Liberals and Nationals government promised $20 million for stage one of the project in Moss Vale on Sunday.
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Andrew Constance confirmed the government will fund the extra $14.3 million, in addition to $5.7 million already committed.
"We know the community has been keen to get this project going so we can ease the congestion in the centre of Moss Vale," Mr Constance said.
Stage one of the Moss Vale by-pass will extend from Beaconsfield Road to Suttor Road and will include the construction of a bridge over the main southern railway.
Liberal candidate for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman said the new bridge was a win for the community, providing a second crossing of the rail line.
"It will also be a huge win for businesses in the Moss Vale town centre by easing the delays locals already experience on Argyle Street," Ms Tuckerman said.
