"I was originally going to do it by myself," Mcgee said.
"I was really nervous but when the other boys joined in that made me feel much better. And now I'm nervous again because I look like I'm four years old (laughs).
"We all put in a big effort to raise money for this cause. We've raised over $5000 and it all came from the people in the Highlands area. Everyone pitched in and made this really special."
President of the Moss Vale Junior Dragons, Daniel Jones couldn't have been more proud.
"The boys organised that night 100% themselves," he said.
"The club got behind them and we put on a barbecue with a gold coin donation. All that money went to their cause.
"The club also donated money and IGA Moss Vale helped out with some meat for the barbecue.
"On their own back those boys raised over five grand. It was a great idea, if I was one of their parents I'd be so proud of them.
"It's a great example of what the culture is about at Moss Vale.

"They didn't look too bad with their new haircuts. A lot of them began to look a lot like their dads (laughs)," Jones said.
"They were saying to me "don't you call me dad".
"They had a bit of fun with it. It was really good to see the whole club house from under 6s to the 16s watching."
