The students at St Thomas Aquinas have put their best foot forward in the name of charity.
To celebrate Catholic Schools Week and to follow in this year's theme 'places of hope', the pupils at St Thomas wore their craziest socks 'to give hope to the people of Townsville' who have been affected by the floods in early 2019.
The initiative came from the Diocese of Wollongong to show support for the families in Townsville, and was promoted each day at the school assembly by the young social justice leaders.
The students managed to raise $560, which will be sent to the Diocese of Townsville to be distributed to the farmers and families affected by the floods.
