The Highlands store will be part of a nationwide sausage sizzle to support Australians who have been devastated by the recent natural disasters of fire and flood.
The staff at the store located in Braemar, will light up the barbecue to support GIVIT’s Queensland floods appeal.
GIVIT is an online money raising platform which supports more than 2400 charities, schools and community groups across Australia. GIVIT will provide essential items to people impacted by the Queensland floods.
GIVIT’s founder and director, Juliette Wright, thanked the Bunnings staff for their support.
“We have been blown away by the amazing support of Australia. We promise 100 per cent of all funds raised through Bunnings will be used to purchase essential items. We are also committed to purchasing locally wherever possible to support the economic recovery of these affected areas,’’ she said.
The sausage sizzle will be held at Bunnings Mittagong on February 15.
