The S-SSE wind was very light with glassy patches of calm for most of the afternoon until 5 pm when the light easterly breeze pushed in.

Race 1 started in a light S zephyr and progressed slowly for one lap when race OOD Gordon Kay and ADO Janelle Magee shortened the course at C mark back to the Finish.
The first home was Richard Hastings who pipped Michael Brindley by one second on the line in 61 minutes.
The bulk of the big fleet of 22 starters finished between 72 and 78 minutes and the last two to finish just made the two hour time limit.
In Race 1 Aliki Darlow broke through for a Maiden first place podium, with Peter Dennelly into second place (his first) and Eric Cadell in third.
In Race 2 John Smale “scorched - not” around the course on his A Class catamaran in 12 minutes to his first place win with Chris Guy a well-deserved second and the ever present Tim Vandervoort in third place.
