Pennant trials could see more changes by the selectors, provided the selectors run there eye over a few players.
Graham Hunt, Rick Reynolds defeated Mick Flynn and David Coltman three matches of seven ends.
Both teams were even drawing the first match 8-8. Hunt and Reynolds then went on to win the second match 8-5.
They then lost the third match 12-9.
Glen Giese and Richard Denman beat Peter Morales and Dougald Braithwaite.
Giese and Denman won the first match 7-4. Drawing on the second match 5-5 and winning the third match 12-9.
Brian Payne and Owen Williams defeated Gordon Lewis and Bob Edwards.
Lewis and Edwards lost the first match 6-4. They lost the second match 8-5 and their third match 7-3.
Harold Wall and Oscar Whalan defeated Clive Neutze and Don Chapman. Drawing the first match 8-8.
Losing the second match 8-5. Winning the third match 7-3.
In the social bowls Carl Spilker, Dennis Beatty and Nathan Boyers defeated Ashley Lewis, Eric Willacy and Paul Leverett 22-21.
Kevin Jones, Barry Werfel and John Cummins defeated Joel Hunt, Bill Pope and Don Coleman 23-17.
