‘Bach in the dark’ is back in Bundanoon for the fourth consecutive year, with all money from tickets going towards the Bundanoon Primary School’s new strings program.
Previously ‘Bach in the dark’ helped raise money for the the music club in the Southern Highlands, but this year, organiser Thomas-Andrew Baxter saw an opportunity to help the local primary school.
“There are still some tickets available but they are almost sold out, all the money now goes towards the school and buying instruments,” he said.
“A lot people who missed out in Sydney have already bought tickets to see ‘Bach in the Dark’ in Bundanoon.”
Founder and cellist, Rachel Scott, started ‘Bach in the Dark’ 15 years ago in the crypts of St James in Sydney, and has traveled to regional centres to share the classical sounds and the talents of other musicians with a broader audience. Rachel is also the education manager for the Australian Children’s Music foundation, providing quality music education to underprivileged kids.
Bach in the Dark will be in Bundanoon for one night only at the Holy Trinity Church, 15 Church Street, Bundanoon, from 6:30pm on March 8.
