Eight-year-old Luca Fidler spent the past several months collecting donations of food, socks, toiletries and treats from individuals and businesses in the Southern Highlands.

On Christmas day, Luca drove with his mum, Simona Angeli, to Martin Place in Sydney and the pair joined other friends to distribute the donations out to people who are homeless in the city.

Luca and Simona extended a sincere thanks to the Southern Highlands community for their collective efforts.

“Look at the amazing results we had by working together as a community. I could have not done this without you,” Simona said.

Luca said he planned to spend the rest of his school holidays relaxing but would be back to collect donations again for a winter sleeping bags and blankets collection.
