On Saturday, December 1 at Robertson Bowling Club, the third round of the Southern Highlands Cup the 2018 Eric plain trophy was played.
The format was pairs, triples and fours.
The pairs Robertson team of Mick Frost and Graeme Tutt defeated Bowral’s David Coltman and Nathan Boyer’s one and a half to half.
In the triples, Robertson team of Damien Plain, Ian Bradburn and Danny Sprinovski defeated Bowral’s Oscar Whalin, Paul Leverett and Josh woodcock two sets to Bowral’s nil.
In a fascinating fours match the only Bowral team to win on the day was Allister McGhee, Carl Spilker, Stephen Della and Dugald Braithwaite who defeated the Robertson team of Christine Wortley, Guido Federico, Phil Vaughan and Stuart Whyte.
After three rounds, Robertson lead with four points, followed by Bowral (three points) and Bundanoon (two points).
The final will be played at Robertson this Saturday between Robertson and Bowral.
Robertson will have a strong side out for the final,
Robertson looked in good shape after last weekend’s win over Bowral and will go out as favourites to win the final on their home ground.
