Competing in Macarthur Baseball League’s Lee Richardson Cup division two competition, the Bombers defeated Campbelltown Ghosts Gumbies 12-8.
An explosion of runs by the Stars in the opening inning was backed up by some great pitching and fielding, with the Bombers completely controlling the game's first half.
Pitcher changes by both sides allowed the Gumbies to close in towards the end but the Stars held their nerve and ensured the home team's efforts were not enough.
Making his debut not just for the Bombers, but under lights, Aiden Martin was an absolute standout.
His first time batting resulted in a home run, while as pitcher he was simply magic- 28 strikes from 49 pitches, including three strike outs, and he was involved in many of the night's other outs.
The Bombers batting picked up where it left off the week before.
Apart from Martin's homer, double base hits were recorded by Steve Pettit, Robbie Gower, Guy Farrugia, and Martin again, although the whole side batted well across the evening.
One of the highlights of the game came off a fantastic outfield throw from Kurt Farrugia at centre field to Mat Shaw at second base, beating the runner who was somewhat surprised to see the ball arrive from such a distance away.
In the Saturday division two competition, the Southern Stars Shelbys had a close 13-12 loss against Campbelltown Ghosts Centaurs.

A thriller played out at Jurd Park in warmer than expected conditions on Saturday afternoon, with the Shelbys almost taking a memorable come-from-behind win.
With a flat start due to the heat, and much of the side backing up from Friday night's winning effort, the Shelbys bade their time and turned on a burst of runs in the second half.
Going to five innings, the Stars came into the last facing a five run deficit and almost overcame it, with what have been the tying and winning runs stranded at third and second bases as the clock ticked past the end of the allotted playing time.
As two of three 'fresh' players on the field for the Shelbys, Andrew Glassington and Dylan Allan toiled valiantly at pitcher and catcher.
Glassington took seven strike outs in his four innings on the mound.
Gower and Scott Hogan worked hard at short stop and second base all game. The combination achieved several outs, with Gower making a critical late save to stop certain extra runs in the Stars' last time in the field.
Gower also provided the game's batting highlight with a triple base hit in the second innings, while Martin again stepped up with a vital double base hit during the Shelbys' last ditch rally.
