Following successful blanket and toiletry donation drives earlier this year, Luca Fidler has expanded to collect food, new socks and undies, toiletries and a few candy canes to distribute at Martin Place on Christmas day.
Mum Simona Angeli said they had received support from as far as Texas after setting up a Facebook page. “A woman from Houston saw a video we posted and is sending a parcel over,” Ms Angeli said.

Ms Angeli said she and friends had been volunteering support and supplies at Martin Place for many years and it was Luca’s “dream” to be able to help people there this year.
“It started with blankets and sleeping bags in winter. He had a dream to help people who are homeless and that dream has been able to come true thanks to the Southern Highlands community,” she said.
Collection points are at Wingello Village Store and Equilibrium Natural Collections in Bowral. Donations can be dropped off up until Saturday, December 22.
Ms Angeli said she was looking for another location to be used as a drop-off point in between Bowral and Wingello.
“If anyone has a shop or a business in Moss Vale or somewhere else in between that they would be willing to volunteer, that would be much appreciated,” she said.
“And if anyone would life to join us in Sydney to distribute, they are most welcome.”
