Hird, from Bowls Australia, met with members of the club to discuss increasing participation and membership, assistance with business/strategic planning and implementing whole-of-sport programs and remove any impediments from the game of bowls.
Many champions have come from country areas in all types sports .
Hind commented at the close of the meeting that he could see that Bowral Bowling Club was on the right path to promote the game and a big promotion will be announced in the next couple weeks.

In the match of the day at Bowral bowling club on Saturday, November 3, Joel Hunt and Ian Crow defeated Bill Pope and John Cummins 19-13.
Hunt and Crow came out racing from the start and after seven ends had a commanding 11-0 lead.
A move from Pope and Cummins did not occur until the 15th end trailing when they were 15-4.
They then put their game together and had a fightback to only fall short by six shots at the finish.
Hunt and Crow’s early lead allowed them a big start that proved the big difference in who was the winner
