Charlie Coy 2RAR Vietnam Veterans reunite every two years at a different spot in Australia and this year the Highlands was the chosen spot.
The five-day event begins on Thursday, November 8 to Monday, November 12 and includes a trip to the War Memorial in Canberra where Lieutenant Colonel Rtd Colin Purcell will lay a wreath at the Last Post Ceremony in memory of the fallen veterans of Charlie Coy 2RAR.
The trip to the capital will also be an opportunity to view the 62,000 poppies spread around the War Memorial to commemorate the 100 years since the end of WWI.
Reunion organising committee member Mary Fahey made 100 of the poppies on display in Canberra.
Veterans will also be a part of a special Remembrance Day service at Mittagong RSL before touring the Cherry Tree Walk in Bowral the following day.
Ther reunion was organised with the support of Clubs NSW through the Mittagong RSL club, Spring Resort Motel, Mittagong, Southern Highlands Tourism, Escape Southern Highlands and Wingecarribee Shire Council.
