Evie Spence and Nancie Pryor put together handmade toiletry bags full of essential items for young people and donated them to the Bowral Youth Refuge.
Youth engagement specialist, Karen Zelinsky expressed gratitude to Evie and Nancie for the donation, and said they would help the refuge provide a safe haven for young people who come through the organisation’s doors.

“Nancie and friends have also donated gifts of pyjamas in the past and these toiletry bags are welcomed as when a young person enters the refuge they are experiencing homelessness or risk of homelessness and often arrive without belongings,” Ms Zelinsky said.
Ms Pryor said she hoped the donation would make sure “the recipient feels that by our small gesture, they are not alone.”
“We hope that in some small way this will give them strength in a difficult time,” she said.
The two women put together the toiletry bags with help from friends who also contributed.
