The SES Wingecarribee Unit received a highly commended award in the Resilient Australia Awards at NSW Parliament this week.
The award was presented by Minister Troy Grant for the Get Ready Girls campaign.
The campaign gives women the confidence to provide first aid at a car accident, prepare their home for a severe storm and stay safe during a flood.
