The indoor pool was certainly appreciated on an evening that produced very close results in all games.
The Sharks v Dolphins, A grade game was as close as it gets with the teams drawing 6-6.
Sharks and Dolphins were level 1-1 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, it was Dolphins who went ahead 3-1 at halftime.
Things didn’t look good for the Sharks as the Dolphins had taken the third quarter lead 5-2.
Things can change quickly and they did, as Sharks gained momentum.
The Sharks scored twice before the Dolphins seemed to have put the winning goal away at 6-4.
Sharks scored again but it looked like they had left it too late with the clock was running down.
With 15 seconds left in the match, Dolphins turned the ball over. Sharks worked the ball down the pool and with three seconds left on the clock they had a final shot.

It deflected off a defender, throwing the goalies set up and allowing the ball to go into the net followed closely by the full time hooter.
It was an unlikely result but Sharks will savour the draw and the extra point that goes with it.
In A Grade, Polar Bears 6 defeated Mariners 4 in an entertaining game.
Polar Bears went to an early lead and led 2-0 in the first quarter before Mariners came back at them solidly to outscore them 3-1 in the second period, for a 3-3 half time score.
The Polar Bears edged ahead 5-3 in the third period, while the final period was a close 1-1 result for the final 6-4 result.
In the first B grade game Polar Bears scored a narrow win over Dolphins B, 5-3.
The Polar Bears led 3-0 early in the first quarter before Dolphins came surging back to level up at 3–3 at halftime.
The third quarter was Polar Bears, reestablishing their lead at 4-3 going into the last period.
One goal to Polar Bears gave them the 5-3 win.
The second B grade game was also close with Mariners B, 6 defeating Horton's 4.
The Mariner’s went to an early lead scoring 2-1, they went very quietly, in the next two quarters, with Horton’s coming back, to go ahead 4-2 , heading into the last quarter.
The Mariners rallied for a great final quarter scoring four goals to give them the 6-4 win.
