The accident occurred just before 7am when a man driving a van entered the on-ramp and lost control of his vehicle at a slight bend in the road.
The vehicle then rolled on its side, blocking two lanes.
The man was uninjured but required assistance to get out of the vehicle safely.
Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly thereafter to assist and direct traffic.
Police advised that the area is in the process of being cleared and the lanes reopened.
Northbound traffic is still moving.
“The accident has caused a bit of peak hour traffic delays but we are in the process of reopening and clearing the backlog,” a police spokesperson said.
“The man is ok and the road should be reopened fairly soon, we ask for motorists patience.”
