The meeting will be held at Balmoral Village Hall from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday, October 17.
Representatives from the RFS will be available to provide information and advice in order for residents to make appropriate decisions if their family or property is threatened with an advancing fire.
Topics will include the seasonal outlook, local fire history, the dark side that follows a major fire event, fire danger ratings, bushfire alert levels, telephone alerts, neighbourhood safer places and bushfire survival plans.
All residents, both in and outside of these areas, are encouraged to attend.
The current deficit in the soil moisture content has not been seen for some 50 years.
