Erection of hospice and medical centre
Councillors will consider a development application (DA) at the October 10 meeting which seeks approval for the demolition of two dwellings and erection of a health services facility comprising of a hospice and a medical centre.

The site is located on the northern side of Bowral Street, to the west of St Jude Street, opposite the private hospital.
The proposed development includes the demolition of existing dwellings, proposed buildings, a hospice comprising of 10 private patient rooms, a medical centre comprising of six consulting rooms and six office rooms and a car park for 39 cars.
According to council papers, there will also be a proposed front setback to Bowral Street, proposed external materials, windows facing an “internal courtyard, not adjoining properties”, a large courtyard, siteworks including drainage, new driveway crossings and the removal of trees and replacement tree planting, hedging and landscaping of the site.
Councillors will consider several factors including character, noise, hours of operation, lighting and privacy.
Bulk water extraction and storage shed
Councillors will vote on an application to modify development consent for a bulk water extraction and storage shed on Wombeyan Caves Road in High Range.
The applicant, Lee Environmental Planning, seeks modification for condition five of the development consent.
Condition five covers the hours of operation, which are limited to between 7am and 6pm week days only.
There is no movements Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
The proposed modification might involve amendment of condition five to read: “Council’s consent permits operation of the development, including associated vehicle movements, 24 hours per day on weekdays only, with no operation or vehicle movements permitted on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays.”
