Instead, her colleagues at Bowral Street Dental Practice are donating proceeds from their operations this Saturday to her family in the wake of her untimely death.

The 23-year-old dental assistant had worked at the Bowral Street practice for a year and a half before she left for maternity leave in early August.
Practice co-owner Nam Tomar said Ms Hoang’s death had shocked and saddened their workplace and Saturday’s fundraiser was a way to offer their support to her family.
“The family is really struggling. Katherine’s husband is still in a coma fighting for his life,” Ms Tomar said.
“They are going through a lot of problems and we just want to do what we can to help the family,” she said.
Ms Hoang was in the backseat of a Nissan Tiida last Friday, September 28 when a 29-year-old man driving a Mazda 3, allegedly driving without a licence, 45kmph over the speed limit and on the wrong side of the road, collided into them on The Northern Road, Orchard Hills.
Ms Hoang and her sister-in-law, Anh Hoang, died as a result of the accident, while her husband, Bronko Hoang, suffered a critical head injury and remains in an induced coma at Westmead Hospital.
Ms Hoang was heavily pregnant with twin boys who did not survive the accident.

The driver of the Mazda 3 has been charged with 10 offences, including two counts each of manslaughter and aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving and driving unlicensed. Advice is currently being sought by police in regards to what legal action can be taken over the deaths of the two unborn baby boys.
Ms Tomar described Katherine Hoang as a “beautiful, beautiful girl” who was a dedicated member of their dental team.
“She was a hard-working girl, always on time. Very down to Earth,” Ms Tomar said.
“We heard about the accident on the news on Friday, but we didn’t realise it was our Katherine at the time. Whatever we make this Saturday will go directly to her family,” she said.
