Mittagong Cricket Club is preparing for the Highlands District Cricket Associations 2018-19 season with an in-house trial game this weekend at Welby Oval.

Mittagong will be fielding two third grade teams and a second grade team in the upcoming season.
The club is still willing to sign up a few players to complete their teams.
Junior coordinator Rob Collins is on the cusp of having two junior teams, but are just short of a few players in the under 13s team.
Junior cricket in the district has been adjusted with a more user-friendly approach, with a shorter time period which parents loved last year.
Each player is given a period of time to bat and bowl, which makes it even for each player.
With support from its sponsors, Mittagong Cricket Club are able to subsidise the junior fees to $50 for junior players and $175 for senior players this season.
The trial game will start from 1:30pm on Saturday, September 22 at Welby Oval.
There will also be a BBQ on the day.
