At the August 8 council meeting, a question from the public asked for an update on the project.

The reply given was that the DA for a community hospice at 104-106 Bowral Street was still being assessed after amended plans from the applicant were recently received by staff.

The application was lodged with council late last year.

Initial documents lodged with council indicated the proposed development would include 10 private patient rooms in the hospice section and four consulting rooms in the medical centre as well as 38 onsite parking spaces.
