Playing Campbelltown City Kangaroos, the Dragons were ahead 10-0 before the game was called off just before the break as a result of some violent behaviour.
“Our boys were playing some really good football. It’s a shame we weren’t able to finish the game,” Dragons coach Matt Burke said.
In first grade, Moss Vale went down 36-28 and coach Jeco Makatoa said it came down to a lack of respect for the ball.
“If we held the ball and completed our sets more than what we did we would have come away with a win,” he said.
“But the boys tried their hearts out and gave it their all.”
They will face Thirlmere at home Sunday.
“We’ll just try to go out there and have fun. We’ve got nothing to lose,” Makatoa said.
The Ladies League Tag team did not have much success either, finishing the game with a 30-10 loss.
