Drug arrest in Mittagong
A Welby man will face court next month after he was charged with possessing prohibited drugs. At 11:30pm on Sunday, August 12, police were patrolling the Mittagong area when they observed a Mazda at a service station in Mittagong. Police pulled into the service station and spoke to the 31-year-old Welby man when he returned to the car. After talking to the man, police searched the car and allegedly located a quantity of cannabis and ice.

Police issued the man with a Field Court Attendance Notice for two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
He will appear in Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday, September 18.
Motorcyclist injured
A Picton man was taken to Bowral Hospital last week after he lost control of his motorbike on Kangaloon Road.
About 1pm on Friday, August 10, the man was riding his 1999 Honda motorcycle along Kangaloon Road, Kangaloon, when he lost control of his bike. Two people travelling behind the rider stopped to render assistance to the rider who was pinned under his bike. The bike was removed and an ambulance called for the rider who suffered shoulder and leg injuries. The rider was treated at the scene before being taken to Bowral Hospital.
Man charged with malicious damage
A Hill Top man will face court after he is alleged to have thrown a punch at a glass door of a hotel in Bowral.
At 2am on Sunday, August 12, a 20-year-old Hill Top man was asked by security at a hotel in Bowral to leave the premises due to him being intoxicated and aggressive towards other patrons. The Hill Top man was escorted to an exit of the hotel. Moments later he attempted to re-enter via the same side door. Police will allege he threw a punch at the glass section of the door causing it to shatter. Police were contacted and after speaking with the man, he was arrested and charged with malicious damage and failing to quit a licensed premises. He will appear in Moss Vale Local Court on October 2.
