A development application was received by council which seeks to demolish the existing building at 5 Alice Street, Mittagong and build 14 residential apartments and a 29-room boarding house.

The petition contained 46 signatures. Councillor Graham McLaughlin said there had been a great deal of concern within the community about the proposal.
