Over the years, RockCan has become a much anticipated event on the local music calendar and is a showcase of the best musical talent in the Southern Highlands.
Over the years, RockCan has become a much anticipated event on the local music calendar.
Each year, The Hidden Wonders, a band comprised of Interchange Australia clients, takes to the stage to perform along with other bands from the local area.
RockCan continues to get bigger each year and the feedback from attendees and other bands who have performed at RockCan has been exceptional.
The introduction of the weekly rehearsals in 2016 has resulted in The Hidden Wonders performing a 10-song set at RockCan 2017 and being invited to play at a number of other gigs throughout the year, including Rock the Houses, dinner groups, Fri-Yay at the Mill in Bowral and International Day of People with Disability events in Nowra and Mittagong.
The extra time dedicated to learning new songs, enhancing singing skills, learning to play an instrument and learning ‘roadie’ and stagecraft skills has enhanced the abilities of each band member and has increased the profile of the band.
The extra performances each year have also enhanced the confidence of everyone in the band.
