The Dragons were on the wrong side of a 4-0 scoreline against Oakdale on the weekend.
Co-coach Dylan Readman said while it was a good game to watch, it was a frustrating result after Moss Vale drew with them in the previous match.
“Everyone was very emotional after the game,” he said.
“A lot of silly stuff let us down. There were a lot of individual efforts and we went away from our structure.”
Readman said Hannah Whatman and Nat Kamchevski both played well against Oakdale.
“Everyone was pretty good. We had a lot of passion this weekend and never really gave up, you could tell they really wanted it. It was just another frustrating loss.”
He said he was pleased with the team’s defensive effort but would continue to work on improving their attack in the remaining matches of the season.
“We have a lot of opportunities [to score] but we can never just crash over [the line].”
The Dragons will face Campbelltown City Kangaroos Gold this weekend on the road.
“Our defence if on point. The aim this weekend is to score tries,” Readman said.
“City is a must win game for us.”
City Gold sit in seventh spot on the ladder, while the Dragons are in ninth position.
City Blue, Narellan and Thirlmere make up the top three on the Group 6 competition ladder.
