At Chevalier College be prepared to experience, something old and something new.
The history of Chevalier College in the Southern Highlands dates back to 1946, when the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) began the school in old Riversdale House on Eridge Park Road, Bowral.
You would think that a school approaching its 75th anniversary might be traditional, but you will be surprised at the innovative methods and curriculum that students enjoy.
Like every school, Chevalier College is facing the challenges of educating young people for life in the 21st century, and this has required vision and innovation.
In 2019, our Year 9 students will have the opportunity to select new courses in the technology domain of Industrial Technology – Engineer and Design and Technology (ISTEM ), a robotics elective.
Chevalier College remains committed to vocational education and training and our trade skills centre (construction and primary Industries), training cafe and commercial kitchen (hospitality) provides students with outstanding training opportunities in skill areas that are in high demand in the workplace.
The college is looking to innovative approaches to excellence in learning and teaching, beginning a three-year project to implement best-practice learning across the curriculum.

Visible Learning involves teachers seeing learning through the eyes of students and students seeing teaching as the key to their ongoing learning.
New buildings will provide greater opportunities, with the completion of the new multipurpose hall and extensions to the performing arts centre.
Two new educational facilities designed to meet the growing needs of its student body will provide more space for future generations of school children.
A performing arts centre boasts a larger stage area, new theatre seating, and amenities. The new building reflects the calibre of talent within the school and offers sound acoustic values for arts groups.
The new multipurpose hall has a new basketball court with mezzanine viewing area, classrooms, amenities and lift.
These new buildings improve the resources available to the student body and enables the school to continue providing quality educational opportunities in coming years.
The only constant that will never change is the schools commitment to the vision that has guided the college from its foundation.
Chevalier College is a Sacred Heart community that strives to produce young adults who are confident, compassionate and poised to take their place in an ever-changing world.
