On Monday July 16 NSW State Emergency Services – Wingecarribee Unit responded to a call to assist a 14-year-old Yerrinbool boy who had been injured in bushland off Mount Gibraltar.

According to Southern Highlands Police, emergency services located the young man sitting among rocks and suspected he had broken his leg after coming off a BMX bike.
Ambulance services arrived shortly thereafter and with police assistance, the young man was placed on a stretcher and taken to Bowral Hospital. Enquiries later revealed he had broken his left leg.
