Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association president Mark Bourne said an agreement had been made for the Bradman Centre to host the event for 2018, however long-term plans to move the festival to Berrima Marketplace would still go ahead.
"The association's committee has been humbled over the last four days by the flood of community and business support for the festival to continue. The association is still very committed to its long-term plans for the Berrima Marketplace site as a festival location and will definitely be seeing the current development application through due process," said Mr Bourne.
The Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association had announced their intention to cancel the event last week when development application plans to move the event to Berrima had been delayed.
The association said the Bradman Oval location was pre-approved for events and would now permit sufficient time to "professionally arrange, advertise and promote the events new location to the public."
"Our committed volunteer committee will start work today to get everything ready for the festival and we are confident that locals and visitors will support the festival move to Bradman Oval in 2018," said Mr Bourne.
Bradman Centre executive director Rina Hore said she was pleased the event was able to go ahead at the oval.
"The Bradman Centre will continue to play a major role in attracting tourists to the region and look forward to working with the regions food and wine producers to implement a successful festival," said Ms Hoare.
