Optometrists can give the best tips for keeping eyes healthy and strong in both the long and short term. This includes sharing the latest trends in eye health and providing guidance on lifestyle choices that benefit your eye health.
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of wearing contact lenses v glasses?
If you’re thinking about making the switch, an optometrist can walk you through the pros and cons of both. They can also help you find the exact right option for you.
4. Has anything about my eyes changed since my last visit that I should know about?
Your optometrist will likely tell you what changes (if any) you may have to your prescription, but it is also wise to have them explain everything that might have changed since your last exam.
5. What can an eye exam tell you about your overall health?
Certain illnesses and diseases not specific to the eyes (like diabetes and high blood pressure) may be identified by eye health experts.
