Lease proposal
Councillors are expected to make a decision on the 99-year lease proposal of the Wingecarribee Aboriginal Community and Cultural Centre at the June 27 meeting. A proposal to enter into a lease agreement with the Illawarra Local Aboriginal Land Council (ILALC) went on public exhibition from April 24 until May 25. It will now come back to council and councillors will determine whether or not to go ahead with the lease. Submissions were received from ILALC, the 355 committee and Wingecarribee Reconciliation Group. There were also 39 individual submission received with just one of these in support of the proposal.

Renwick Community Centre
A community centre in Renwick could soon get underway. Councillors will vote on a development application (DA) for the centre. The proposed site for the community centre is on Langley Avenue, Whitfield Lane and Renwick Drive. The DA was lodged in September 2017 which sought consent for the amalgamation of two lots into one lot, a community facility, public park, ancillary car parking and landscaping.
Bundanoon Winterfest
Organisers of Bundanoon Winterfest have requested financial assistance from council for the 2018 event. They have requested $365 to help with waste management, specifically the cost of waste transfer. The opening night street party will be held on Saturday, July 7.
Loan variation request
Councillors will consider a request by Moss Vale and District Basketball Association to vary the terms of its loan. In 2014 council approved a $500,000 loan to assist the association with the costs of refurbishment and improvements to the stadium. Council received a request late last year to vary the terms. The proposal put forward is to essentrially redraw on the loan so the payments made to date could be used to fund studies and the DA process for the redevelopment of the site.
