In division one, the Wyld Stallyns defeated Campbelltown Caspers Mad Dogs 12-2.
Having lost to the Caspers by seven runs at their last meeting in round three, the Stallyns were expecting a tough outing at Jurd Park this time around.
The Stars side, however, looked like a new team as they built upon strong batting and a powerful performance from the team's battery (pitcher-catcher).
Dylan Allan claimed the first officially 'called' home run at Jurd Park in the Southern Stars Baseball Club era with an enormous drive which almost rolled all the way to the Wattle Street boundary.
Dylan Hillyer put on a typical display of speed and accuracy as pitcher, leaving most of the Caspers batters not able to cope.
Making his return to both the game and the Stars for the first time since 2016, Shannon Bickel's full game at catcher added a noticeable layer of strength to the Stars' fielding.
Tony Maher picked up a nice, clean out at third base after stopping a hard hit with two runners coming at him.
In division two, the Bandits beat the Mets (Catherine Field) Soul 18-7.
There was some solid hitting from the home Stars side at the start of the match and at least one great catch.
In three of the five innings the Bandits pulled in five runs apiece, keeping them well in control for yet another victory.
Southern Stars Baseball Club summer registration and try baseball day will be held on Saturday, July 28 between 9.30am and 11.30am.
