Keith Edwards, John Edmonds and Ed Meester defeated Bill Pope, Joe O’Donnell and Clive Neutze 21-17.
Team Meester raced away at the start going to a 10-3 lead after six ends and then had the game under control leading 16-9 after 15 ends.
The biggest problems for team Neutze was having bowls in the head.
In the last few ends team Neutze raised its game and closed the gap but team Meester came away with a four shot win.
In the other match of the day, John Lewis and Graham Hunt defeated Vic Roberts and Gordon Lewis 20-16.
Team Lewis set the pace early to lead 6-0 after three ends.
But team Hunt came back into play with top bowls after that to level the score at 7-7 after eight ends.
After that it was all team Hunt who held a 13-7 lead after 11 ends.
Roberts and Lewis made a recovery to trail 16- 14.
Lewis and Hunt were five shots down on the 19th end and Hunt with his last bowl trailed the jack and picked up four shots.
There were no more chances for Roberts and Lewis with Lewis andHhunt running out four shot winners.
