With just nine players it was always going to be a difficult for Mittgong to get a win and in the end the numbers advantage proved to be too much.
Mittagong team manager Jacqui Ashbolt said while her side scored quickly, they just couldn’t hold Bowral out.
“We still put up a good fight given we only had nine players,” she said.
“We did put pressure on them and it wasn’t an easy win for them. We tried to make them work for it.”
Tayla Adcock scored Mittagong’s only goal.
When Mittagong did have possession, Ashbolt said the side attacked well.
She said it was a good defensive effort from Mittagong to keep Bowral to just three goals.
“I was really proud of everyone to put in the full 90 minutes with no subs and missing players.”
We did put pressure on them and it wasn’t an easy win for them. We tried to make them work for it.

Noelene Munro Cup matches will continued next weekend with Hill Top to take on Robertson Maroon while Bowral will face Moss Vale Red.
