Kirsty and Amy Willis attended the Royal Ascot, Britain’s most valuable race meeting. The event attracts many of the world’s finest racehorses to compete for more than $7.3 million in prize money. Out of thousands of Australians at the event, the two sisters had the opportunity to talk about their experience in a national interview with Channel 9.
Kirsty and Amy’s mother Marilyn Willis said the sisters were in close proximity to Queen Elizabeth II and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. “They said they could’ve touched the Queen she was so close,” she said.
“They couldn’t believe they were interviewed. A lot of [Australians] were interviewed, it’s so funny that two Bowral girls were chosen to be on TV.”
