Precedent Productions managing director and awards founder Steve Loe said more people than ever before had voted for their favorite businesses using the awards’ website. “It’s proof that Southern Highlands residents have embraced the convenience that online voting offers,” he said.
“We received thousands of nominations, which proves how supportive the Southern Highlands community is of its local businesses. We have been inundated with votes and counting is now underway to determine the finalists in each category.”
The awards’ anonymous judges will then visit each finalist to assess their services from a customer’s point of view. Judging criteria include: range of products, value for money, business and staff appearance, service quality and customer relations. Finalists can also submit information about their business that an anonymous visitor may not see, such as customer testimonials and references.
None of this would be possible without the support of Major Sponsors, NOVA Employment and Support Sponsors, Wingecarribee Shire Council, Boral Cement Berrima and Flower Flower.
“It is only with their unwavering assistance that the program is able to continue to recognise the great achievements of local businesses and their staff,” Mr Loe said. The winners will be announced at the Southern Highlands Local Business Awards presentation on August 8 at Mittagong RSL Club.
