Moss Vale Junior Dragons will hold a fundraiser on May 26 to raise money and awareness for the Mark Hughes Foundation Beanie’s For Brain Cancer.
The club has already started selling beanies at training on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and will have plenty to keep everyone warm at its home games next weekend.
Hoping to raise $6000 for the foundation, the club has already sold more than 100 beanies.
“Being a football person all my life and seeing what Mark went through just wanted to help out as much as we could,” club president Daniel Jones said.
“It’s all for a good cause.”
For those that can’t make it to training or the ground on game day, Jones said they could contact the club through Facebook.
Jones said club members could deliver beanies for people that were unable to make it to the ground.
The first game on May 6 will kick off at 9.30am and the final match of the day will start at 1.30pm.
Training starts at Community Oval from 4pm each Tuesday and Thursday.
Beanies will cost $20 for this year’s style or $10 for last year’s one.
