Clapton is one of Australia’s foremost singer/songwriters and paved the way for three generations of songwriters to write about the experience of being Australian.
His songs are still played regularly on the radio which Clapton described as a challenge for his upcoming gig.
“I”ve released about 24 albums that have come with many classic hits I can’t not play,” Clapton said.
“Obviously I’m going to play hits such as Deep Water, but it makes it hard to squeeze them all into such a small set.”
Clapton and his band will perform at the Bowral Bowling Club at 8.30pm on June 1.
Clapton said he was looking forward to returning to the Highlands not only for his gig, but to be reunited with mates.
