TAFE NSW Moss Vale Certificate III in Electrotechnology student Mark Williams from Moss Vale picked up two awards, the prestigious Apprentice of the Year Award; and the Infrastructure, Energy and Construction Student of the Year.
Mr Stewart was nominated by TAFE NSW Electrotechnology teacher Allan Goodger, who was delighted he took home the awards.
“Mark was a keen and competent student in theory and practical aspects of the course,” Mr Goodger said.
“While completing this qualification Mark demonstrated a very high level of competence despite some major life events vying for his attention.
“During the course Mark welcomed his fifth child into his family, received a promotion and with it greater responsibility. He also helped his partner set up a small business.”
TAFE NSW Regional General Manager Kerry Penton said the award winners were an inspiration to other students and a source of pride among their teachers.
“Many of these graduates are emerging as leaders in their field, helping to support growth in our region while becoming role models for those who follow as future graduates,” Ms Penton said.
“Through the rapid changes of our times and within TAFE NSW, our promise is to continue to provide the best vocational education and training in our region and beyond, to ensure TAFE NSWremains the first-choice training provider and continues to produce outstanding graduates.”
Bronwyn Beard was the other TAFE NSW Moss Vale student successful in the awards. She was presented with the TAFE NSW Moss Vale Student of the Year Award.
