“This year’s music at the festival has something for everyone, from world-fusion to funked-up dub and psychedelic surf pop,” Damien Sterling, festival organising committee member said.

“There will be soul grooves and new-age blues to make you hit the dance floor, the mix and diversity of the band line up is amazing, festival goers are going to love it.” 

International featured act, Moussa Diakite and Wassado, have just returned from headlining WOMADelaide Festival and are now preparing to share their music at the Burradise Festival.

Influential guitarist Moussa Diakité was part of the golden era of Malian music in the 1970s and ‘80s, performing with some of Africa’s best, including Salif Keita and Toumani Diabaté.

Since migrating to Australia, he has stamped his mark on the local scene, teaming up with Sydney band Wassado for a dynamic mix of blues, jazz, Cuban and Afro-rock sounds.

Alex McNeilly, Chair of the Burradise Festival said, “This year we wanted to showcase a broader range of music styles, the line-up is incredible across both the Friday and Saturday night ticketed events plus the free entry day stage on Saturday and Sunday where musicians and bands are performing all day long next to the multicultural food fair, markets, arts and culture.
