The couple are looking to lure a family just like them onto the property site, with the sweetener of $10,000 worth of day care at the estate’s new childcare centre.
The Bulli-based couple originally bought their 752sqm piece of land, Lot 1380 on Plumb St, in the burgeoning Mittagong estate, Renwick, to move close to Penny’s Mum and Dad in Bowral.
Though a change in work commitments has meant their family plans have changed, Penny said that didn’t mean her family’s vision for the land had to change along with it.
“We spoke so much about raising our family in this place, while we haven’t even built here yet, I feel quite connected to the idea that it will eventually be a family home, a little like what we wanted to make it,” she said.
“We talked about the move here most of all because of the family-friendly atmosphere, with its own park and childcare centre along with a community centre and shopping facilities soon to come.”
Penny said she believed the are would make a great upbringing for children.
“It seems like a really welcoming place to help to make friends when starting afresh,” she said.
Kinder Garden director Brittney Imber said Penny and Chad’s proposition seemed like a “fun idea”.
“When I spoke to Penny about the idea of offering their buyer 100 days of childcare as part of the sale, it seemed like a fun idea to help welcome more young families to the area,” Bridget said.
“Being new, we still have some spots available across our age groups from 0-five and we’d love to offer them to a new family moving to Renwick.”
