The Robertson Spuddies reserve grade team had a 10-12 loss against the Shellharbour Sharks at Robertson Showground on Saturday, April 21.
Meanwhile in a close game, the Spuddies third grade team went down to the Shellharbour Sharks 16-18.
Club president Doug Tilley said there were small improvements to be made ahead of round four.
“[In reserve grade] we’re almost there, we’re not getting flogged, we’re losing by close margins,” Tilley said.
“[In third grade] we need to get our timing and combinations right.
“Both games were fast and physical in stages.”
This week the Spuddies will host another home game at Robertson Showground.
The third grade team will take on Culburra from 1pm, while the reserve grade team will play the Albion Park Oak Flats Eagles from 2.30pm.
